What a wonderful day celebrating the Holiday Season! We’ll begin our day shopping at the Fuzzy Pig near Whitewater. The Fuzzy Pig is a hand renovated barn lovingly converted into a distinct Country Mall. The mall features hundreds of unique products for your home, including an eclectic giftware selection, rugs, table linens, clocks, pictures, lamps, and more. A buffet lunch at Whiney’s Wine Bar and Restaurant at the Fuzzy Pig is included. Our next stop is at the Milton House for an enlightening guided tour. The Milton House is the only certified Underground Railroad Station in Wisconsin that offers tours. You’ll walk through the same secret passageways that ushered freedom seekers to shelter and safety. A stop at 808 Cheesecake in Janesville for a delicious indulgence and time to shop will be a treat. More than 100 Christmas trees, garland, ribbon…and thousands of lights highlight the holiday magic of the beautiful Lincoln-Tallman House in Janesville. We’ll tour this historic home and grounds decorated for the season. After an included supper at Olive Garden Italian Restaurant we’ll visit the incredible Janesville Rotary Gardens Holiday Lights Show (pictured). Bringing brightness to the holiday season, this dazzling after-dark walk on the Gardens’ paths features more than 1.2 MILLION lights, themed light displays and animations. The total walk is 2/3 mile but you can take in as much or little as you please. Moderate walking.

Join us in celebrating the holiday season in Dubuque – Iowa’s oldest city. With the help of a local guide we’ll tour the city and go inside some of Dubuque’s most appealing historic spaces. This extremely personal, elegant and festive experience combines food, fellowship and fun! We’ll begin at the Hills Event Center for an appetizer and tour. This stunning space, with floor to ceiling windows, stands out for its distinctive architecture of a Second Renaissance Revival style. Steeple Square (pictured), an icon since 1867, is a beautiful former Catholic Church transformed into a stunning space for gatherings. Here we’ll enjoy live musical entertainment, an intriguing talk about Dubuque’s history and its connection to the mighty Mississippi River and a delicious two entrée buffet. At the Fannie Stout House we’ll enjoy dessert, learn more history about the area and explore this beautiful home. Built in 1893, the Stout House is a perfect example of eclectic architecture filled with stunning chandeliers, striking stained glass windows and rich woodwork. On our way to Dubuque we’ll make a brief stop at the thought-provoking Dickeyville Grotto. What a wonderful and festive day to celebrate the Holiday season. Our Halloween Mystery trip has become an annual tradition. These trips are so much fun and mystifying. This year we’ll welcome a mystery step-on guide who is a “rock star” in the paranormal field. He has authored a number of books, been featured on many TV shows and owns his own “ghost hunting” business. We’ve never had this guide before – it is a honored “get“ for us. We’ll visit a number of “shadowy” places that are “off limits” to the general public. Because our step-on guide has connections we have the unique opportunity to explore these sites. Don’t be surprised if our visits send a shiver up your spine. An included lunch will also be a part of our journey. Join us for this spooktacular and interesting mystery; you’ll be glad you did. HIGHGROUND MEMORIAL PARK * SKY RIDE * BERRY FARM
The 140 acre Highground Veterans Memorial Park in Neillsville, WI offers much more than a “typical” Memorial Park. Perched on a high bluff, the Park provides spectacular colorful views of ½ million acres of Wisconsin woodland and glacial moraine. The Park is an amazing tribute showcasing seventeen memorials honoring veterans and their families. It boasts a beautiful white oak timber Visitors Center with gift shop and a separate Learning Center. Plus, our visit is during the “Fall Festival” which features a classic car show and chili cook-off competition. After an included lunch at the unique Wausau Mine Company Restaurant we’ll board Granite Peak’s Comet Sky Ride. This six-seat chair lift will whisk you to the top of Rib Mountain State Park. You’ll marvel at the stunning fall colors for as far as the eye can see. A scenic rural drive will bring us to our final stop – Lakeview Berry Farm outside of Mosinee, WI. Depending on the season’s conditions you’ll be able to purchase up to 12 Raspberry varieties and other fruits. Join us on this amazing day taking in Wisconsin’s beautiful fall colors! This trip would make an amazing Halloween Mystery trip. Unfortunately many of the attractions are not available in October. No worries – we’ll celebrate this mysterious day a little early. Our day will begin having a “hoot” at an internationally recognized attraction. We’ll “root’ up a scenic, winding drive along a picture perfect tributary ending up in an amazing little settlement. After some time for shopping we’ll enjoy a devilishly good lunch at a downtown eatery. Our day continues with a reimagined, chilling experience featuring a “spooky” and hauntingly famous figure dealing with what could best be described as a split personality. Finally, we’ll welcome a local guide who will join us on a driving tour of this charming, historic and scenic locale. This is one of the most exciting events in the country. Even if you are not an aviation enthusiast EAA’s Airventure is an event you should experience at least once in your lifetime. Over 10,000 airplanes fly to and from Oshkosh’s Airventure during the 6 day event. Over 100 take-offs and landings happen every hour. On the viewing grounds you’ll see up close all types of aircraft including vintage, experimental, homebuilts, warbirds, commercial, ultralights and more. The electrifying Air Show begins at 2:30 PM and runs for four full hours. Grounds admission and admission to the EAA Museum is included. Feel free to bring a folding chair to sit and watch all of the remarkable activities throughout the grounds. We’ll be at Airventure grounds from about 10:30 AM until 6:00 PM. There are plenty of lunch and snack options on site. Moderate to substantial walking – choose to walk as much as you want.
