NEW TRIP! Route 66, known as the “Mother Road”, is the most famous highway in the world. Crossing the country this 2,500 mile route tells the quintessential American story of freedom, mobility, and exploration. We’ll explore the northern half of Illinois along this nostalgic route taking in numerous quirky sites, live music shows, classic diners, museums, beautiful parks and so much more. There is no way we can list all that we will see and do but the highlights include: Rosewood Theater’s “Cruisin” a high energy live show featuring classic old-time Rock-n-Roll tunes; I & M Canal National Heritage Area including a mule pulled canal boat excursion; White Fence Farm’s “Kicks on 66” music show; Route 66 Hall of Fame & Museum; Conklin Dinner Theater’s “Smoke on the Mountain” a hilarious and bluegrass musical show; Braidwood Zoo; classic ice cream drive-in stops; Arcade Museum; Beer Nuts Factory & Store; historic gas stations; giant-sized statues; and more, more, more.
