This vacation offers stunning scenery, fabulous entertainment, a classic TV experience and much more. We’ll begin with a visit to the Miller Park Zoo in Bloomington, IL. Our next stop is the amazing Hardy’s Reindeer Ranch in Rantoul, IL. We’ll enjoy a guided tour including the opportunity to feed the reindeer and an exciting Wild West Lunch Show. Our next stop will be Mount Airy, North Carolina – the hometown of Andy Griffith. Mount Airy is the blueprint for the mythic town of Mayberry, home of the classic 1960’s TV sitcom “The Andy Griffith Show”. A step-on guided motor coach tour of the area will provide a glimpse into Andy’s childhood and point out many familiar TV show related sites (Floyd’s Barber Shop, Goober’s Service Station, Snappy Lunch, Mayberry Jail, the Courthouse, and more). We’ll visit the Andy Griffith Museum and be entertained by two live music shows – Jams at the Earl Theater (bluegrass and old-time music) and WPAQ’s Saturday Morning Merry-Go-Round (a live two-hour radio show similar to The Grand Ole Opry). Our next destination is the beautiful Smoky Mountain community of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee – hometown of Dolly Parton. We’ll spend a day at Dollywood Theme Park where we’ll enjoy a number of great music shows, thrilling rides, and one-of-a-kind exhibits and craft shops. An action-packed evening at the Hatfield & McCoy Dinner Show will feature song, dance and audience participation. We’ll also enjoy the entertaining and funny Comedy Barn Show and the fabulous Smoky Mountain Opry Show. There will be time to shop and take a bus tour through the stunning Smoky Mountains.
